  • Dr.
    John Lamothe

    Owner Dr. Lamothe is a board-certified Optometrist and is licensed to practice Optometry in Washington D.C., and has practiced for more than 20 years. He served as a contract Doctor for Bolling Air Force Base and is affiliated with Washington Eye Physicians and Surgeons office in Chevy Chase Maryland. Dr. Lamothe obtained a Doctor of Optometry in 1999 from New England College of Optometry in Boston, Massachusetts and a Bachelor of Arts degree from the State University of New York in Potsdam, New York in 1992. He conducted his medical internships at the Newington Veterans Hospital in Newington, Connecticut, the Dorchester House Multi-Medical Site in Boston, Massachusetts, as well as the Cataract and Laser Institute in San Antonio, Texas. He has also served in a co-management capacity along side prestigious eye physicians at Corneal Consultants in Boston, Massachusetts, a clinic known for their work in refractive surgery and corneal disease. While finishing his Doctorate degree, Dr. Lamothe has participated in two relief missions to Merida, Mexico, overseeing the eye care services provided to underprivileged residents of the Yucatan Peninsula. Dr. Lamothe takes great pride in providing all his patients the highest-quality in eye care, prescribing glasses and contact lens, he also co- manages the most recent refractive surgeries, fits scleral or medically necessary special contact lenses and treats dry eye syndrome with LipiFlow.

    Tahira Raja
    Optometrist

    Dr. Tahira Raja received her Doctorate from the State University of New York College of Optometry in New York City.  A native of Maryland, Dr. Raja earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology from the University of Maryland, Baltimore County.  She is a member of the American Optometric Association and the Maryland Optometric Association.  Dr. Raja's clinical experience includes primary care, pediatrics, vision therapy, contact lenses and ocular disease.  She enjoys giving back to her community and has participated in many volunteer activities including vision screenings for children in the New York Public schools and serving as an advocate for Health Leads, a national healthcare organization helping to connect those in need with resources for healthy living.  

    Dr. Raja is committed to providing the best eye care and establishing lasting relationships with her patients.  She welcomes patients of all ages and enjoys fitting some of the latest contact lenses available including specialty lenses.  Dr. Raja also provides the latest treatment in the management of dry eye disease.
